Alforja

The farmhouse is located 1,000 meters from the municipality of Alforja (Baix Camp). The municipal term of Alforja of 38.32 Km2 is located in a valley framed by the Arbolí cliffs, on the border with Priorat and Mussara and with the Mirador and Puig Cerver mountains, it enters the Coll de Cortiella, through the Priorat, and flows into Porrera, and is drained by the Alforja stream.

We meet at the foot of the Prades mountain range, and within the area known as the Prades Mountains Natural Park. The park covers an area of 36,830 hectares spread over 22 municipalities, including the municipality of Alforja. It includes the area of the plan of areas of natural interest (PEIN) of the Prades mountains and the new areas covered by the new Natura 2000 network. It also integrates the old military camp of Castillejos, at the request of the Town Councils of Arbolí, Vilaplana, Alforja and Febró, to which belong the 700 hectares of said military camp.

Alforja is a rural place located approx twenty minutes by car from both the nearest beaches on the Costa Daurada, as of the cities of Cambrils, Hello, Reus i Tarragona, and inland 10 minutes from Priorat, Cornudella de Montsant, Montsant, Siurana, 30 minutes from Prades, and of the Monasteries of village i Holy Cross, among other places of interest.

The means of communication to reach Alforja are:

  • From the AP7 highway Reus exit, continue on the T11 towards Falset until Les Borges, following the C-242 to Alforja.
  • From the Priorat along the N-420 road until you have to leave at the height of Les Borges and follow the C-242 until Alforja
  • From the C-242 Alforja arrives from the region of Les Garrigues
  • From the AP2 highway coming from Lleida, take the Montblanc exit and follow the Montblanc motorway in the direction of Reus until La Selva del Camp and from La Selva continue to Vilaplana on a new road that goes directly to the farmhouse.
  • From Reus it is also possible to access the T-704 to Vilaplana and then to Alforja.
